WALLA WALLA, Wash. (AP) — A Washington state Penitentiary guard accused of threatening his estranged wife and her boyfriend pleaded not guilty Monday to charges of stalking, harassment and violating a no-contact order.

KVEW reports 23-year-old Adam Snyder is scheduled for trial May 23 in Walla Walla.

Court documents say Snyder wrote threatening letters to the couple in an attempt to scare his wife into coming back to him.
