BUDAPEST, Hungary (AP) — The Hungarian Judo Association says its four-time judoka national champion has failed two doping tests.

Attila Ungvari’s urine sample tested positive for stanozolol, a steroid, after he won a gold medal in the 73-kilogram division at a World Cup in Budapest in February.

His first positive test was in January after a competition in Baku, Azerbaijan. Hungarian authorities say the results of Ungvari’s B samples will be known in about three weeks.

Ungvari was a bronze medalist at the 2010 European championships. He is the first Hungarian judoka to fail a doping test.
