MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — Oregon State Police say three people were hurt when a Greyhound bus collided with the rear of a Jeep on northbound Interstate 5 near Medford.

Police say the bus driver changed lanes early Tuesday to leave room for a state trooper in the middle of a traffic stop. That lane change put the bus behind a Jeep.

KPTV reports that when the Jeep’s driver braked, the bus driver said he couldn’t slow down sufficiently and hit the back of the vehicle.

Troopers say three people in the Jeep were taken to a hospital; no one on the bus was injured.
