State lawmakers representing Clark County will hold town hall meetings at two locations in Vancouver Saturday and by teleconference Monday to update their constituents on the Washington Legislature and field their questions.

Representing the 17th Legislative District, Sen. Don Benton and Rep. Paul Harris, both Vancouver Republicans, and Rep. Tim Probst, a Vancouver Democrat, will hold a town hall from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Mountain View High School Auditorium. The school is at 1500 S.E. Blairmont Drive in Vancouver.

Representing the 49th District, Sen. Craig Pridemore and Reps. Jim Moeller and Jim Jacks, all Vancouver Democrats, will host a Saturday event at the Clark County Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., from 10 a.m. to noon. The meeting will be in the sixth floor Commissioners’ Hearing Room.

Representing the 15th District, which includes a small section of Clark County east of Washougal, Rep. Bruce Chandler, R-Granger, and David Taylor, R-Moxee, will hold a telephone town hall beginning at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Those wishing to participate can do so by calling toll-free 877-229-8493, then entering the PIN number 15540.

“This is a good opportunity to connect with constituents spread out across our large district,” Chandler said. “I think people find it convenient to chat with us from their own homes.”
