SALEM, Ore. (AP) — A Marion County Jail deputy involved in a drunken driving crash was sentenced Monday to a week in jail and 90 days of house arrest.
The Statesman Journal reports 62-year-old Dennis John Parson was convicted of drunken driving and assault for the October collision in which the other driver suffered minor injuries.
Police said Parson had a blood alcohol content of .227 percent. He resigned from the sheriff’s office in December.
