The inventory of homes listed for sale in Clark and Cowlitz counties increased slightly in February to a 12.1-month supply, up from 11.7 months in January, according to Portland-based RMLS, the region’s multiple listing service.

The supply of houses for sale in February was also higher than during the same month last year, when the two counties held 11.6 months worth of inventory. The data mean it would take 12.1 months to sell all of the 3,695 new and pre-owned homes for sale in Southwest Washington if no new listings were added.

Last month’s local listing supply was down from the February record high of 18.6 months in 2009. The RMLS, which reflects only the houses listed through its service, reported that 274 Southwest Washington houses were sold in February, down 9.9 percent from the 304 homes sold in February 2010.
