LENZERHEIDE, Switzerland (AP) — Maria Riesch regained the lead in the overall World Cup title chase Friday, finishing fourth in a slalom race won by Tina Maze of Slovenia.
Riesch earned 50 points and has a three-point lead over Lindsey Vonn. The three-time defending champion, Vonn had led by 27 but finished 13th in the final slalom of the season to score 20 points.
The title will be decided in a giant slalom race on Saturday.
Maze won in a combined two-run time of 1 minute, 29.33 seconds. World Cup slalom champion Marlies Schild of Austria was second, 0.05 seconds behind, and Veronika Zuzulova of Slovakia was third.
