SEATTLE (AP) — A 12-year-old boy who threatened fellow Snoqualmie Valley middle school students and his family has been sentenced to more than a year in a Washington state juvenile facility.
Court papers say the Duvall boy’s mother told police that her son said he planned to kill about 20 students who teased him at Tolt Middle School in Carnation, planned to kill teachers and planned to kill family members. The boy was expelled from school last October. Charging papers say police found two shotguns and a 9 mm pistol in a camper where the boy had been staying near his home.
King County Deputy Prosecutor Jennifer Worley tells The Seattle Times that the boy pleaded guilty Thursday in juvenile court to felony harassment for threatening to kill his family and a fellow student, to harassment for threatening another student and to assault for choking his sister.
