Will the local extension office offer classes and tours this year? In the past, I’ve tried to attend all of the garden tours and quite a few classes.

We are so happy that you have attended some of our classes. All of our department staff are there for the public.

WSU Master Gardeners attend many events around the county, leading tours, giving public demonstrations, working at farmers markets and the Clark County Fair, and, of course, giving tours.

For an updated list of events, keep an eye on The Columbian’s Garden calendar or visit the WSU Extension website at http://clark.wsu.edu.

On March 31, the WSU Master Gardeners will take a full-day tour of the Willamette Valley, visiting an arboretum and garden shop, among other destinations. The cost of the tour is $35 per person, which does not include lunch. For information about that tour, call 360-397-6060, ext. 7718.

Master Gardeners also are happy to speak to school groups, garden clubs and civic groups. Reach the Master Gardeners at mganswerclinic@clark.wa.gov.
