FALUN, Sweden (AP) — Marit Bjoergen of Norway dominated her rivals to win the 10-kilometer pursuit Saturday at the cross-country World Cup finals.
Bjoergen set the pace from the start and pulled away from Justyna Kowalczyk of Poland shortly after the switching to the freestyle portion of the race, gradually increasing the lead. She finished in 31 minutes, 14.4 seconds, with her Polish rival 25.1 seconds back.Therese Johaug of Norway was third.
Kowalczyk has already secured the overall World Cup title, going into the season-ending handicap race on Sunday.
