Vancouver police arson investigators are hoping to speak with a man who may know something about an arson that occurred last month.

The fire was on Feb. 12 at 2417 Markle Ave. near John Ball Park in west Vancouver and was determined to have been deliberately set, according to a bulletin from the Vancouver Police Department’s Fire-Arson Team.

A half-hour before the fire was reported to 911 dispatchers, the man bought something in the Plaid Pantry at 1002 W. Fourth Plain Blvd.

The man is not considered a suspect in the arson, the bulletin said.

He is white with his hair cut short and stands between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall. He wore a thigh-length jacket, blue jeans and dark shoes.
