NEW YORK (AP) — Jon Jones is prepared to fight Mauricio “Shogun” Rua on Saturday night at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

The 23-year-old fighter from New York is the brother of Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Arthur Jones, and his other brother, Chandler, played college football at Syracuse.

But young Jon was always a better wrestler than football player, and that background led him into mixed martial arts. He’s won 12 of his 13 professional fights and now has the chance to win the UFC light heavyweight title against Rua.

Also on the card, former WEC star Urijah Faber faces Eddie Wineland in his first fight under the UFC banner. Lightweight contender Jim Miller, veteran middleweight Nate Marquardt and Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic also will be in action.
