A pair of sci-fi geeks (Simon Pegg and Nick Frost) head to the Nevada desert in search of the secretive Area 51 in “Paul,” which arrives in theaters this weekend.
There they stumble upon Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen), a pint-sized alien who has been held captive for more than 50 years. They agree to help him back to his mother ship, but a FBI special agent (Jason Bateman) is on their tails.
Pegg and Frost struck comedic gold in the zombie film “Shaun of the Dead” and the cop movie spoof “Hot Fuzz.” Is the third time a charm for the comedic duo? “Paul” is rated R.
When: Show times vary.
Where: Battle Ground Cinema, 1700 S.W. Ninth Ave., Battle Ground; Cinetopia, 11700 S.E. Seventh St., Vancouver; various Clark County Regal Cinemas locations.
