SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Nearly half an inch of rain measured at Spokane International Airport set a local record for March 21.
The 0.49 inches of rain measured Monday beat the previous record of 0.45 inches set for that date in 1916. Records have been kept in Spokane since 1881.
Spokane has recorded 13.69 inches of precipitation since Oct. 1, which is 3.76 inches above normal. More rain is forecast.
