Let’s become self-reliant again

What happened? Why have we gone from a great free country of “yes, we can” to a bunch of helpless wimps? Is it so difficult to be self-sufficient rather than depending on Big Brother? Does a broken light bulb in the street warrant a 911 call? We blame a fast-food chain’s icon for our children being obese. Who is the parent?

Now, as our “free media” report, some say that our children are being subjected to too much stress having to learn basic educational skills not to mention any advanced level of education. And some are saying that the state should be responsible for single mothers and their children.

Whatever happened to the concept of being responsible for our actions? Is this the America that so many tens of thousands of brave men and women suffered and died to protect? Come on America, start being proud, capable, and responsible Americans again.
