Why are we trashing our own roads?

What’s up with all the litter? It seems like the amount of litter on the road has quickly multiplied over the past few months.

From Padden Parkway and Interstate 205 to Mill Plain and state Highway 500 and everywhere in between there is garbage in the streets and gutters. There is trash in fields, on sidewalks, and in front of schools.

You can’t go anywhere without seeing garbage laying around. I have seen trash flying out of the top of city garbage trucks and the back of personal vehicles.

We all need to decide what kind of environment we want to live in, what kind of environment we want to leave to future generations. Do your part and keep the garbage where it belongs, at the dump.
