KELSO, Wash. (AP) — Two boys, ages 2 and 3, escaped from their preschool class in Kelso and walked six blocks before police found them on a swing set in a stranger’s yard.
The Daily News reports the teacher at the First United Methodist Learning Center had counted heads before leaving a play area in the church basement, but the two apparently slipped out a door. They were missing about 15 minutes Wednesday morning and found unharmed.
The mother of 3-year-old Mason Hartley, Lauren Hartley, said her son told her they were trying to reach his grandparents’ house.
