PORT ANGELES, Wash. (AP) — Autopsies this week may determine what caused the deaths of a Clallam County couple who died together at their home west of Port Angeles.

Mark Nichols of the prosecutor’s office, which also serves as the coroner’s office, says no crime is suspected in the deaths of 60-year-old Charles and 59-year-old Geraldine Lorme, and the final report on the deaths could take weeks.

The Peninsula Daily News reports authorities believe it’s possible both suffered heart attacks.

Charles Lorme called for help Wednesday and said his wife was having a heart attack. When a fire district crew arrived eight minutes later they found him slumped over her body as if he had been attempting CPR.

Neither could be revived.
