Helping to underscore Thursday’s theme will be featured speaker Nichole Maher, executive director of the Native American Youth and Family Center in Portland. NAYA works to enrich the lives of Native American youth and families across the Vancouver-Portland metro area through education, community involvement and culturally specific programming.

WSUV’s annual event helps to celebrate Women’s History Month, observed each March, and to recognize women who have inspired, mentored and empowered others.

It is free and open to all.

Reservations are recommended; RSVPs are due by today at: http://www.vancouver.wsu.edu/distinction. A pass for free parking will be provided upon making reservations.
