FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — Adrian Gonzalez homered and Clay Buchholz pitched four innings of one-hit ball as the Boston Red Sox played a 1-1 tie against the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday.

Buchholz allowed one run, struck out three and walked two in his final spring start. Gonzalez hit his second homer in the fourth.

The game was stopped after nine innings.

Rays right-hander Wade Davis also pitched four effective innings, yielding one run and five hits. He struck out one and walked one.

It likely was Boston’s final home game at City of Palms Park. The Red Sox expect to move into a new spring home in Lee County next year.

Boston left immediately after the game to travel to Houston for an exhibition game against the Astros on Wednesday night.
