CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — The Charlotte Bobcats are expected to have starting point guard D.J. Augustin against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night.

Augustin participated in a morning shootaround, two days after spraining his left ankle and bruising his right knee in a victory over Milwaukee. Augustin sat out practice Tuesday.

Backup point guard Shaun Livingston won’t play against the Cavaliers. He’s recovering from a bruised tailbone sustained against the Bucks. An MRI exam Tuesday showed no fracture.

Starting center Kwame Brown returned to the team after missing Monday to tend to a family emergency, while forward Tyrus Thomas had to leave shootaround with pain in his surgically repaired left knee. Coach Paul Silas said Thomas will be examined later Wednesday.
