PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — An Oregon man has pleaded guilty to 27 federal child pornography charges involving the sexual abuse of his 6-year-old stepdaughter and 14-year-old severely disabled stepson.
The Oregonian reported that Michael J. Marceau of Aloha admitted he knowingly caused the children to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of taking pictures that were sent to others.
An investigation of a Bureau of Indian Affairs employee who used a government computer to email Marceau and trade child pornography led to the charges.
Sentencing was set for June 21. Federal prosecutors plan to recommend 50 years in prison, and a federal judge in Portland told Marceau he will have to serve at least 27 years.
