BEND, Ore. (AP) — A Marion County, Ore., sheriff’s spokesman says hundreds of searchers are expected along the North Santiam River this weekend, looking for any sign of a missing Bend woman.

Lori Blaylock disappeared Oct. 28 and some of her clothing was found along the river.

Blaylock’s husband, Steven Blaylock, has been charged with murder in her disappearance. He has pleaded not guilty. He says she walked away from their home.

Marion County Officer Don Thompson said Thursday that crews of 35 to 40 searchers each from Deschutes, Crook, Jefferson, Benton, Linn and Marion counties will bring boats, ATVs and cadaver dogs to scour the river and its banks. KTVZ says the search will stretch from Idanha to the Detroit Reservoir.

Thompson says officials are planning this as a real-life training exercise. There’s no new information but officials are incorporating an area where a body believed to be Blaylock’s was last seen by kayakers.
