PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Police say a Portland bus driver accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl he met on a bus has been arrested.
The Oregonian reports that 53-year-old TriMet driver Christopher Parker is accused of third-degree sexual assault and related counts. He was arrested Tuesday and booked into the Multnomah County Jail.
Police say Parker and the girl apparently met on the bus when she was 14. The girl is now 15.
TriMet spokeswoman Mary Fetsch said questions arose about Parker’s behavior more than six weeks ago when a supervisor saw that the veteran driver allowed a passenger to ride without a destination, and drove off his route without notification.
