ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Michigan guard Darius Morris is staying in the NBA draft.

The sophomore point guard who helped lead the Wolverines to a win over Tennessee in the NCAA tournament last season says he’s discussed the matter with family, friends and his coaches at Michigan.

Morris had declared for the draft but could have returned for his junior season if he withdrew by May 8.

Morris averaged 15 points a game and had 235 assists last season.

This is the second straight offseason Michigan has lost a key player early to the draft. Last year it was Manny Harris, who ended up with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
