EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Nets center Brook Lopez has had surgery to remove bone and calcium deposits from his upper right arm.
General manager Billy King said Lopez will be able to play basketball in about six weeks, and he should be ready for training camp in the fall.
The Nets said the surgery was performed on Wednesday at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
Lopez, who has never missed a game due to injury in his three-year career, averaged a team-high 20.4 points and 6.0 rebounds this past season.
