SEATTLE (AP) — An ocelot kitten that was born in January at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle makes its public debut Thursday in the Tropical Rain Forest exhibit.

The zoo says the kitten has been kept out of sight with its mother for three months while the staff monitored its growth.

Its name is Evita. She weighs nearly 6 pounds and is eating solid food. She’ll grow to about 30 pounds.

The zoo says Evita’s favorite activity is chasing her mom’s tail.

Ocelots are an endangered species. The small spotted cats range from Mexico to Argentina.
