KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) — Southern Oregon door and window manufacturer Jeld-Wen plans to sell nearly 50,000 acres of Klamath Basin ranches, irrigated farmlands, recreation and timberlands worth about $25 million.

The Herald and News in Klamath Falls reports that eight properties in the area will be sold through Realty Marketing Northwest, with sealed bids due June 30.

The properties range in size from 130 acres to just over 20,000 acres. All have timberlands, three have irrigated farmlands and three have homes, barns and shops.

A company spokeswoman says Jeld-Wen considers the land a surplus asset and selling it is part of the strategy to focus primarily on door and window manufacturing.
