NEW YORK (AP) — Mets pitcher Chris Young couldn’t get loose in the bullpen before New York played the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday night and didn’t make his scheduled start.

Right-hander Dillon Gee started in Young’s place.

Young pitched seven scoreless innings on Sunday in his previous start. He was on the disabled list earlier this season because of right biceps tendinitis. Young is 1-0 and pitched well in three of his four starts.

Gee (2-0) won his first two starts this season. He’s also pitched 4 1-3 innings in three relief appearances since. He has 13 strikeouts and 16 walks in 16 innings.

Last season, he went 2-2 with a 2.18 ERA in five starts for the Mets. He was 1-1 with a 4.63 ERA in two starts for Triple-A Buffalo this year.
