CHICAGO (AP) — The Cincinnati Reds activated right-hander Johnny Cueto from the 15-day disabled list Sunday so he could start against the Chicago Cubs.

Cueto has been sidelined all season by irritation in his right biceps/triceps and will be making his regular season debut. He had four minor league rehab appearances.

Cueto was 12-7 with a 3.64 ERA last season.

To make room for Cueto on the roster, the Reds optioned right-hander Carlos Fisher to Triple-A Louisville. Fisher was 0-0 and did not allow a run in 4 2/3 innings over three relief outings.
