PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) — Washington State basketball star Klay Thompson, leading scorer in the Pacific-10 last season, will skip his senior season and remain in the NBA draft.

Thompson said earlier he intended to test the draft waters, but Sunday was the last day to withdraw from the June 23 draft.

Thompson ranked 11th in the nation at 21.6 points per game last season while setting a school record with 733 points.

The guard ranks third in the WSU record books for career scoring with 1,756 points. He is the son of former NBA star Mychal Thompson.
