Congratulations to the Ridgefield boys soccer team. The Spudders are the only Clark County sports team that has already clinched a berth in the state playoffs that begin next week.

Several other teams are one win away from clinching a berth.

The Camas boys soccer team is one of those teams one win away from state. So is Mountain View, and Hockinson, too. The same is true for King’s Way Christian and Stevenson.

In baseball, Camas needs one win to clinch a state berth, and so does Union.

Other teams need two or more wins. So let’s take a look at what each team needs to do this week to advance to state.

BOYS SOCCER

CLASS 4A: Union will play Narrows League’s fourth-place team at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kiggins Bowl in a bi-district playoff. On Tuesday, Evergreen will play Skyview at Kiggins Bowl in a district playoff. The winner of that match will face the South Puget Sound League’s No. 3 team at noon Saturday at Art Crate Stadium in Spanaway in a bi-district playoff to determine a state berth.

CLASS 3A: Fort Vancouver faces Columbia River in a district playoff at Camas on Tuesday. The winner will face SPSL/Seamount No. 5 on Thursday in Olympia in a bi-district playoff. The winner of that game will meet Camas at 1 p.m. Saturday at Doc Harris Stadium for a berth to state. Hudson’s Bay meets Narrows No. 3 on Thursday in Olympia for the right to play for a state berth on Saturday. Mountain View will play on Saturday in Auburn in another bi-district playoff for a state berth.

CLASS 2A: Hockinson, which beat W.F. West of Chehalis 8-0 on Saturday, will play Centralia on Tuesday at Battle Ground’s District Stadium in a district semifinal. The winner clinches a state berth and a spot in the district championship match Thursday. The loser will need to win matches Thursday and Saturday to reach state. Washougal hosts W.F. West on Tuesday in the first of three matches the Panthers must win this week to keep their state tournament hopes alive.

CLASS 1A: Ridgefield will play Hoquiam on Thursday at Doc Harris Stadium for the district championship. Both teams are assured berths to state. King’s Way Christian, which beat Montesano 1-0 on Saturday, faces White Salmon at 6 p.m. today in Camas for a berth to state. Stevenson plays Rochester at 7 p.m. today in Tumwater in another winner-to-state/loser-out game. Monday’s winners will play for seeding Thursday in Camas.

BASEBALL

CLASS 4A: Union plays Puyallup at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Propstra Stadium. The winner clinches a berth in the state tournament and to the bi-district semifinals Saturday in Kent. The loser gets a second chance to clinch a state berth Wednesday in Kent against Stadium of Tacoma or Rogers of Puyallup. Evergreen needs to win back-to-back loser-out games Tuesday and Wednesday to reach state. Tuesday’s game is against Auburn Riverside at Heritage Field in Puyallup. Wednesday’s game would be against Gig Harbor or Kentwood.

CLASS 3A: Camas gets a first-round bye in the bi-district tournament and will face the winner of Tuesday’s Capital-Highline game at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Propstra Stadium. Win Wednesday and the Papermakers advance to the bi-district semifinals Saturday at Auburn Mountainview High School and are assured a berth in the state tournament. A loss on Wednesday means Camas would have to win a game Thursday and the following Saturday to reach state. Mountain View faces Kennedy of Burien at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Auburn Mountainview. If Mountain View wins, the Thunder will face Enumclaw in a winner-to-state game Wednesday at Auburn Mountainview. A loss Tuesday puts Mountain View in the elimination bracket, where the Thunder will need wins Thursday and next Saturday to advance. Hudson’s Bay meets Wilson of Tacoma at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Heidelberg Park in Tacoma. The winner meets Auburn Mountainview on Wednesday for a state berth, while the loser will need to win two elimination games to advance.

CLASS 2A: Hockinson opens the district tournament at home 4:30 p.m. Tuesday against EVCO No. 3. A win puts the Hawks into a winner-to-state game Wednesday in Chehalis. A loss means Hockinson must win three elimination games (one Wednesday, two Saturday) to reach state.

CLASS 1A: Ridgefield opens the district tournament against Montesano at noon Tuesday at Castle Rock. A win puts the Spudders in a winner-to-state game later Tuesday against Kalama or Rainier. A loss means the Spudders must win two loser-out games (one later Tuesday, one Friday) to reach state.
