Truman PTA honored for work with students

Minnehaha — The Harry S. Truman Parent Teacher Association was recognized in four categories for its outstanding efforts on behalf of Truman Elementary students and families during the Washington State PTA Convention. There are more than 1,000 PTAs in Washington.

The Truman PTA was awarded a silver level Honor Unit Award, one of seven awarded in the state. This award is given to a PTA that demonstrates exceptional qualities that merit replication by others. It also received a silver level Standards of Excellence Award. Jeri Whitson, Treasurer of Truman PTA earned an individual Leadership Academy Award as well.
