Today’s career exposition targets region’s youth

PORTLAND — Students from Clark County and throughout the Portland metropolitan area can learn about potential careers in business, manufacturing, construction, health care, technology, human services, communications and the arts at the NW Youth Careers Expo from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland.
There is no charge to attend. More than 110 companies, educational institutions and nonprofit organizations will participate as sponsors and exhibitors.
Now in its seventh year, the Careers Expo has drawn increasingly larger crowds of high school students from throughout the metro region, including the Portland, Vernonia, Ore., and Vancouver school districts. Participating companies include Nike, PCC Structurals, Wieden+Kennedy and US Bank.
