PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) — Pakistani officials say a U.S. drone strike has killed at least five alleged militants near the Afghan border.

Two Pakistani intelligence officials, speaking on condition of anonymity in line with agency policy, say two missiles were fired at a car in the Sanzali village of Datta Khel, a town in North Waziristan.

They say at least five people riding in the car are believed to be dead.

The identities of the bodies have not been confirmed. The area is controlled by the al-Qaida linked Haqqani network.
