2 drown while swimming in central Washington

GRANGER, Wash. (AP) -- Yakima County fire and rescue officials say two people have died while swimming in a pond south of Granger in central Washington.
The Yakima Herald-Republic says a young man and young woman were pronounced dead Wednesday afternoon at Toppenish Community Hospital. They were not immediately identified but the newspaper says both are members of the Yakama Nation.
