MILWAUKEE, Ore. (AP) — Fire officials in the Portland suburb of Milwaukee say a chemical release has prompted the evacuation of a business called Precision Castparts. Clackamas Fire District 1 spokesman Steve McAdoo says “a cloud is coming out of the building.” He urged nearby residents to stay in their homes Wednesday evening until any potential danger passes.

The Oregonian says no injuries have been reported from the unidentified chemicals.

McAdoo says the release was reported at about 5:30 p.m. Employees had already left the building when fire crews arrived.

Hazardous materials teams are working to determine the nature and potential danger of the chemicals.
