Carillo joins Tennis Channel for French, US Open

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Broadcaster Mary Carillo is joining Tennis Channel for the French Open and U.S. Open.

Carillo’s duties will including hosting the cable network’s coverage and some play-by-play calls of matches at the French Open, which starts May 22 in Paris.

She will work alongside analyst John McEnroe, her partner when they won the 1977 French Open mixed doubles title.

Since retiring as a player, Carillo has worked for a variety of TV channels, including ESPN, CBS, NBC and HBO. She won a 2006 Sports Emmy Award.
