MIR ALI, Pakistan (AP) — Pakistani officials say a suspected U.S. missile strike close to the Afghan border has killed three people.

Two intelligence officials say a pair of missiles struck a house Tuesday in Miran Shah in the North Waziristan tribal area.

The region is dominated by militants from the Haqqani network, which is blamed for attacks against U.S. and NATO forces across border in Afghanistan.

They said the identities of the killed were not immediately known.

They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to media.
