Tribe members selling salmon this week

COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE — Fishermen from Columbia River Basin treaty tribes are now selling fresh-caught spring chinook salmon directly to the public at several sites along the river, the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission announced Wednesday. The opening of direct sales comes on the heels of a late-arriving spring chinook run.

Tribal members will sell fish at Marine Park at Cascade Locks, Ore.; Lone Pine at The Dalles, Ore.; and at the boat launch at Roosevelt. For more information on where each day’s catch will be sold is available by calling 888-289-1855 or by visiting the commission’s salmon marketing website, http://www.critfc.org/harvest.

Price is determined at the point of sale; all sales are cash only.
