SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Twelve cars of a freight train carrying vehicles derailed Friday morning at the Yardley switching yard in Spokane.

Burlington Northern Santa Fe spokesman Gus Melonas says the train was moving at less than 5 mph when the wheels left the rails. The cars were left tilting but did not fall over. There are no injuries, no apparent damage.

Melonas says heavy equipment is being brought from Kamloops, B.C., and Billings, Mont., to right the rail cars. The work should be completed Saturday.
