RAMALLAH, West Bank (AP) — Sepp Blatter says he is confident of being re-elected as president of FIFA when world soccer’s governing body votes in June.

Blatter faces Qatari challenger Mohammed bin Hammam. He said Sunday that FIFA needed “consolidation, not revolution.”

He was speaking in the West Bank city of Ramallah, where he inaugurated the Palestinians’ first international club tournament.

Blatter, who will also go to Israel, is visiting the West Bank with FIFA’s new vice president, Prince Ali Al Hussein of Jordan.

Six members of FIFA’s executive committee are facing allegations of bribery during the 2018 and 2022 World Cup bidding contests. Bin Hammam says Blatter should step down because of the allegations.
