The Clark County Sheriff’s Office’s annual Law Enforcement Memorial Day is scheduled Thursday at the Public Service Center plaza.

The sheriff’s office issued a bulletin today announcing the event held each year during National Police Week, which recognizes officers who have died in the line of duty.

In 2010, 152 officers died while working. The names of fallen local officers and canines will be read during a roll call.

Sheriff Garry Lucas and Clark County Prosecutor Tony Golik are slated to speak. The memorial will feature a parade and ceremonial presentations by color and honor guards.

The event is open to the public. The plaza is located at 1300 Franklin St.
