PASCO, Wash. (AP) — Officials in Kittitas, Yakima and Benton counties have declared an emergency to deal with washouts and other damage caused by this week’s flooding.
The National Weather Service says streams and rivers are still running full from weekend rain and melting snow.
KONA reports the Yakima River is expected to crest Wednesday nearly three feet above flood stage at Benton City.
The Naches River is forecast to fall below flood stage Wednesday afternoon.
