CHIGAGO (AP) — Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Andre Ethier was taken out of Sunday’s game against the Chicago White Sox after he ran into the outfield wall in the fourth inning.

Ethier crashed into the fence trying to run down Juan Pierre’s double. He was visibly shaken up but team trainers didn’t come out to check on him.

He remained in the game for one more batter, then was removed after Alexei Ramirez blooped a single into right field.

Ethier is hitting .307 with four homers and 21 RBIs on the year. He was 0 for 2 with two strikeouts Sunday.

He was replaced by Tony Gwynn, Jr.
