DENVER (AP) — Colorado left-hander Jorge De La Rosa left the game against Arizona in the third inning Tuesday with soreness in his pitching elbow.

Rockies pitching coach Bob Apodaca visited De La Rosa on the mound with one out, then went back to the dugout. After a double steal on the next pitch, Apodaca was summoned again along with manager Jim Tracy and trainer Keith Dugger.

They watched as De La Rosa, who was coming off his first career complete game, made one warmup pitch. Apodaca then signaled for Greg Reynolds to come in and De La Rosa left the game with a pained look on his face.

The game was the opener of a day-night doubleheader.
