Teen suspected of fatal Auburn shooting arrested

AUBURN, Wash. (AP) -- Police have arrested the 16-year-old suspected of fatally shooting another 16-year-old at a Sunday barbecue-birthday party in Auburn.

Commander Mike Hirman says James Anthony Mills was taken into custody Monday night at a relative's home in Kent and booked into King County Juvenile Detention for investigation of murder.

Hirman says detectives are still looking for the gun used in shooting 16-year-old Adrian Wilson.

The two teens reportedly had a dispute over a girl, and violence erupted when Mills arrived at the party with friends.

The victim's father, 46-year-old Gabriel Wilson, is accused of firing shots during the melee and was arrested for investigation of assault.

Two other people were wounded during the shooting.
