DENVER (AP) — Authorities say a 27-year-old man has died after he fell while sliding down a stair railing at the Colorado Rockies’ stadium in Denver.

The Denver coroner’s office identified the man Thursday as Robert Seamans of Pueblo.

Police spokesman Sonny Jackson says the man fell about 20 feet onto concrete during the seventh inning of the opener of a doubleheader Tuesday at Coors Field.

Witnesses told police the man was trying to slide down the staircase railing, lost his balance and fell, striking his head. The stairs lead to the center field seats.

The Rockies released a statement saying “our thoughts and prayers are with the young man” and his family.
