BEND, Ore. (AP) — A central Oregon man who lost some documents and cash while traveling in Europe recently got them back in the mail in an anonymous package from France.

The Bulletin reports that 73-year-old Art Meador lost a file containing two copies of his passport, a prescription list, visa paperwork and $240 in January, just after he passed through customs at Charles de Gaulle Airport in France.

This week, a mailman knocked on his door at his home in Bend and asked him to sign for a package that contained everything Meador had lost at the airport — including the cash.

The mailman spoke a bit of French and read the envelope but said there were no clues about who sent it.
