TAHUYA, Wash. (AP) — A Mason County, Wash., sheriff’s spokesman says a 35-year-old man was shot and wounded with an arrow and a SWAT team has arrested his teenage daughter.

Spokesman William Adam tells KOMO-TV the 15-year-old girl is accused of using a hunting bow to shoot her father in the torso Wednesday evening after he disciplined her by taking her cell phone away.

The unidentified man has been airlifted from the Tahuya (tuh-HOO-yah) area to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. KOMO says he’s in serious condition.

Adam says the man crawled to a neighbor’s home to call 911 after the girl refused to let him use a phone.

The spokesman says the girl fled into woods behind her home with the bow and arrows but a SWAT team surrounded her and took her into custody.

Tahuya is about 35 miles west of Seattle.
